Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala

This chicken tikka masala was brewing all day today and we could not wait to dig in. And that’s a big thing I’ve found that helps you stick with healthy eating – having meals that you LOOK FORWARD to eating. ⁠⠀

This is a delicious, healthy (and dairy/gluten free) tikka masala that is packed with veggies, healthy fats and tastes as good as the take out version (if I do say so myself) and so much cheaper.⁠⠀

Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala

A healthy and easy slow cooker curry that the whole family will love!
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 600 g Chicken thigh or breast
  • 2 x 400g cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup tikka masala paste
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Medium Sweet Potato
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 brown onions diced

Instructions

  • Chop chicken, carrots and sweet potato into small peices and dice the onions.
  • Add all ingredients to a slow cooker, mix well to combine and cook on low for 8hrs (or longer).
